For any kind of home appliance, a regular upkeep will take it a long way. Thus before scheduling a maintenance visit, here are some things to be aware of, which are going to help you improve your comfort and the efficient of your air conditioner.

The following things are stated by our expert technicians and a home maintenance is a must here. This falls true for other appliances like water heaters, furnaces and so on. if you feel trouble with either you AC or Furnace, you can take up our AC or furnace service in Peachland. Check out the points below:
1.Change or clean the air filters

This is the most basic step as you can easily remove the filters from the top of your air conditioner and clean them. There would be a lot of dust on the filters and you must dust them and wash them as well. Once they are completely dry, you can fit them again without any expert intervention. The air quality will be improved a lot after cleaning the filters.

 2.Check the AC’s coils

Your air conditioner has some coils and you need to keep a check on them. The evaporator and the condenser coil is going to collect a lot of dirt over time. This accumulated dirt is responsible to reduce air flow, insulates the coil leading to its reduced ability to absorb heat. The outdoor condenser coil can also become very dirty because of the outside atmosphere. Avoid these problems in time.

3.Remove the debris from the units

Over a period of time, things like twigs, leaves, dirt and so on accumulate on the outside of the air conditioner or the compressor. This will also lead to the reduced air flow and this unit should be cleaned properly. If your compressor is kept in the shrubs, ensure that you check its condition once in two months at least.

4.Straighten the coil fins

Last but not least, you should check the coil fins and straighten it if they are bent. They are vulnerable to bending after years of use. And this bending can reduce the airflow.

When you follow these things regularly at home, you will not find the need to call an expert or AC repair technician too often. Although we suggest to get your machine checked at least once in 6 months to ensure that things are going very well at your end.
